Recruiting

How will I benefit?

You will gain from the effort you put in.

Cadets are treated as young adults and as such are expected to take responsibility for their actions.  If a Cadet does not work within the rules of the Unit and New Zealand Cadet Forces then they may face disciplinary  actions, likewise, initiative and co-operation are equally rewarded.   As in all things in life the more effort you put in the more satisfaction and recognition you will receive.

Activities you may participate in:

Sailing and Power Boats (Day Skipper/Boatmaster).

Sea and Bush Survival.

Bushcraft and Abseiling.

Firearms Safety.

Sea and Land Navigation.

Leadership and Team Building.

First Aid.

Engineering

Plus many more activities.

National & Regional Activities

Cadets are eligible to attend NZCF Promotional, Bushcraft and Sailing Courses held at NZDF Bases throughout New Zealand during the school holidays free of charge.
